Welcome to
"The Gallery Fahrettin"
A collection of paintings created by Fahrettin throughout his life.
Fahrettin was an art teacher who found joy in drawing, painting, and sculpting alongside his lectures. His works reflect his personal way of seeing the world, capturing places, moments and impressions that were meaningful to him, while exploring various artistic techniques.
This website brings together a selection of his works and makes them available to anyone who would like to discover and enjoy them.
Some of his works are also available as postcards — small pieces of the collection to keep, share or simply remember. You could also contribute his memory by sharing your memories and photos of or with him. Please use the Contact page to share your contributions in the Guestbook.
Thank you for visiting and taking a moment to explore Fahrettin’s collection.
Black & White
For Fahrettin, drawing was a natural and immediate way of observing and expressing the world. Ink gave him a direct and expressive medium with line, contrast and details. Printing allowed him the possibilities of line and contrast together with texture.
ColorFull
The fluidity of watercolor allowed Fahrettin to work with light, colour, and transparency in a direct and natural way. Pastels allowed him to work with colour in a softer and more immediate way. Oil painting offered Fahrettin the opportunity to work with richer colour, texture and depth.
Fahrettin explored sculpture as another way of expression in terms of form, shape and particularly as volume. Working beyond the two-dimensions reflect his curiosity in exploring different artistic techniques.
